Wildfires, earthquakes and floods, they are some of the disasters that can occur in our County. September is Disaster Preparedness Month.

The American Red Cross Orange County Chapter encourages everyone to be prepared for all disasters.

The 32nd Annual Ocean Institute Tall Ship Festival will feature seven tall ships which will make their way into the Dana Point Harbor on September 9th, for touring on September 10th and 11th.

The event attracts thousands of people who have the chance to learn about maritime history and the ocean environment.

Sickle Cell Anemia is a chronic blood disorder. It affects about a hundred thousand people in the U.S. About one in12 African Americans carries the trait and one out of 36-thousand Hispanic children are born with the disease.

The life expectancy for a Sickle Cell disease carrier is 40 years old.

Children as young as 12 years old could later on commit sexual crimes if they're not educated about acceptable behavioral boudaries with their peers.

Many are exposed to inappropiate sexual behaviors from both traditional and social media. And when they engage in inappropiate sexual behavior, they could face severe legal consequences.
